Answers to the most common questions about Cannasys Maps

About Cannasys Maps

  • What is Cannasys Maps?

Cannasys Maps is an informational directory of associations. We sell no products. For adults aged 18 and over. Search text relevance and the selected city or searcher's city context apply first. Within that context, clubs with free approved document verification (APPROVED) precede the others. Within each verification group, an additive score totals up to 100 points: internal reviews adjusted for their number (25), handling membership request responses (20), a complete profile with description, photos, opening hours, logo, contact and membership information (20), complete manual translations in ES, EN, DE, FR and IT (15), published events with meaningful content, recent activity and translations (15), and continuous proximity when location is available (5). Translations are supplied manually without AI; copying the source text does not count. Upcoming events and recent regularity are assessed within 90-day windows and their contribution is capped: bulk publishing cannot raise the maximum. There is no bonus for a club's name, owner, subscription or CRM connection, and no guarantee of first positions or SEO results. The “Cannasys Verified” badge indicates that the club manages its membership in Cannasys App, a paid Cannasys service. The badge has no effect on catalogue order. A report alone does not change ranking. Only an administrator's decision confirming manipulation or poor operation and attributing responsibility to the club can reduce the score: 5 points for a minor case or 15 for a serious case, capped at 30 in total for 90 days from the decision. Revocation immediately removes the reduction. A fraudulent user review does not penalize the victim club; normally rejecting a request counts as a response.

  • Is Cannasys Maps a club? Does it sell anything?

No. Cannasys Maps is neither an association nor an intermediary: we are an informational directory. We do not sell products or services, we do not handle payments and we do not take a commission — the relationship is always directly between you and the club. Appearing in the directory also means nothing more than information: membership is decided by each club under its own statutes.

  • Does appearing in the directory guarantee that a club will admit me?

No. A membership request is only the first contact: membership is decided by each club under its statutes and its internal admission process. Cannasys Maps takes no part in that decision and cannot speed it up. And remember: clubs are private associations for people aged 18 and over only.

  • Is there a mobile app?

Yes, for iPhone and Android, with the same directory as the website: map of associations, applications to clubs, notifications and your membership card if your association is connected with Cannasys. On the app page you will see what it includes and the links to the App Store and Google Play; if a store shows “Coming soon”, the app is not published there yet. If you prefer not to install anything, you can add the website to your home screen: on your phone, the website itself shows you the steps for your browser (on iPhone, “Share” button → “Add to Home Screen”; on Android, browser options button (⋮) → “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”). Just like the website, the app is only for people aged 18 and over.

Finding a club

  • How do I find a club that suits me?

Open the directory and type what you are looking for (for example, “club with darts”) or choose a club type: Social club, Lounge, Pet friendly, Events and music, CBD friendly or Cannabis coworking. Refine with the filters: amenities (WiFi, bar & café, music, darts…), annual fee and rating — there you can also keep only verified clubs. Sorting supports relevance, rating and fee.

  • How do I choose the city?

The city is chosen in the site header: on desktop, with the city selector; on mobile, with the city button in the header, which opens the list. On your first visit your browser may ask for permission to use your location: if you allow it, we find the nearest city and you will see the question “Is … your city?”; the city is applied only if you tap “Yes”. If you do not allow it, pick the city from the list, or later with “Detect my city”. In the directory the city is set with the “City” filter or with the “By region” button — first the autonomous community, then the province and the city. The “Map” mode next to the list shows the clubs as points on the map; you do not choose a city there.

  • What are amenities?

Amenities describe the club's space and atmosphere: WiFi, bar & café, music, board games, foosball and pool, darts, video game consoles, coworking area… They help you get an idea of what the place is like and filter the directory by what matters to you. They do not describe products: Cannasys Maps is an informational directory and does not publish that information.

  • What does the fee mean?

The fee is the member contribution stated by the club itself — on Cannasys Maps it is shown as an indicative annual fee so that you can compare. It is not a payment to Cannasys Maps: we do not charge anything. The exact conditions of the fee are always confirmed by the club.

Verification and trust

  • What does “Verified” mean?

The association's documents have passed our review. The seal refers to the documents reviewed; it does not guarantee future club activity or replace visitors' own checks.

  • What if the listing does not show the verification seal?

There is only one verification notice on the public listing: a green check mark next to the club's name — on its page, on the directory card and on the map — shown when the club has passed our document review. We do not show “under review” or “not verified” notices. If you do not see the mark, the club has not passed the review yet — it may not have submitted documents, or we may still be checking them — and it stays in the directory just like the others.

  • Where do the ratings and reviews come from?

A club's rating is calculated only from the reviews published on Cannasys Maps: it is the average of members' reviews, rounded to one decimal place. We do not import ratings or reviews from other platforms. And only a member of the club (with their card linked in “My clubs”) or someone who has contacted the club through a membership request can leave a review — that way the ratings reflect real experiences.

Membership request

  • How do I send a membership request?

On the club page tap “Request membership” — the button is also on the directory cards — and fill in the form. Your name, phone, email (your account email by default; you can change it to another one) and date of birth are required (people aged 18 and over only, or the club's minimum age if higher: some clubs accept people from 21 and show it as “21+”), plus two checkboxes under the send button: the age confirmation and the personal data consent; until you tick them the button stays disabled. With the “Use my profile details” checkbox the contact fields fill themselves; the “Who recommended you?” field is optional. It can only be sent while logged in: if you arrive as a guest, the form will show you the log-in and sign-up links. You can send a maximum of 3 requests a day to the same club. And remember: membership is decided by each club.

  • Why does a club have no request form?

The request form is a feature of the PRO and PRO+ plans: only clubs that manage their panel on Cannasys Maps and have one of those plans active have it. If a club does not have it, contact it directly by the phone, website or email on its listing. Each request goes to a single club — there is no bulk sending.

  • Where do I see my requests?

In your account, the “My requests” section (on mobile, the requests tab in the bottom bar). There you see the status of each request. You need to be logged in.

  • How do I contact a club directly?

Each club's listing has its phone, website and email — call or write directly, with no intermediaries. Cannasys Maps takes no part in the conversation and charges nothing for the contact.

Account, favourites and reviews

  • How do I sign up and log in?

Signing up has its own screen: “Sign up” in the header or the sign-up link on the log-in page. Enter your email and a password — at least 8 characters and at least one number — and tick the personal data consent and the terms of use: without that checkbox the button stays disabled. We will send a confirmation code to your email. If you already have an account, tap “Log in” and enter your email and password. Signing up is free.

  • How do I save a club to favourites?

Tap the heart on the club card or on its page. Favourites are available while logged in, in the “Favourites” section of your account. The club does not know who saved it: it only sees how many people have it in their favourites. Each saved club has a “Club notifications” switch, on by default: with it, that club can send you a single invitation, without knowing who you are until you reply. You can turn it off at any time in “Favourites”. Club accounts do not have favourites.

  • How do I leave a review about a club?

Only a member of the club or someone who has contacted it through Cannasys Maps can leave a review. The right appears if you have your membership card for that club linked in “My clubs”, when the club takes your request in hand or completes it — or 7 days after you send it, whether the club replies or not. You need to be logged in. You can leave a single review per club, and you cannot leave a review about your own club. You can give just the rating, without text, and choose to publish it anonymously: then neither the club page nor the club sees your name (you can change this later in “My reviews”). Your review counts towards the rating.

  • Where are my reviews and how do I delete one?

In your account, the “My reviews” section: there you see all your reviews and the clubs' replies, you can turn “Publish anonymously” on or off, and you can delete a review. When you delete it, the club's rating is recalculated.

  • What about my privacy and the age check?

Cannasys Maps is for people aged 18 and over only: the site asks about it on arrival, and the date of birth in the membership request serves only to check the minimum age: 18, or the club's own minimum if higher (e.g. 21). Your data is processed under the Privacy policy and only reaches a club when you approach it: when you send it a membership request, when you sign up for one of its events (it sees your name and the status of your sign-up) or when you reply to one of its invitations (it sees the name, date of birth and message of your reply). From your favourites, the club only sees how many people have saved it and, while you have “Club notifications” on (they are on by default), an entry without your name showing the day you saved it. Documents uploaded for verification are never published.

Events, notices and invitations

  • How do I sign up for a club's event?

Each club's upcoming events are on its listing (in the app, also in the events list). At clubs that allow sign-ups you will see the sign-up button next to the event and, if there is a limit, the places left. If you are a member — you have the club's card linked in “My clubs” — tap “Sign me up” and you are done. If you are not and the event is open to everyone, the button is “Request access and sign up”: you send a membership request to the club, with the usual form and your date of birth, and your place is held until the club reviews it; if the club approves it, you are signed up. “Members only” events are for members with a linked card, and when the places run out “Full” appears (there is no waiting list). Your sign-ups are in “My events” in your account, where you can also cancel them. We let you know if the event changes date or is cancelled, and about 24 hours before we send you a reminder. The club sees your name and the status of your sign-up. You need to be logged in.

  • What are notices from my clubs and how do I turn them off?

They are short notices that a club connected to Cannasys sends to its members: a change of opening hours, a general meeting, an event. They reach you if you have that club's card linked in “My clubs”: by default, with notifications on, you receive them as a notification, and you always see them on the club's card in “My clubs”. Each club can send at most 2 notices per week, and a notice cannot talk about discounts or promotions. If you do not want to receive them, turn off “Club notifications” on the club's card — it is on by default; you will still see them there, without notifications — or turn them all off with “Notices from my clubs” in the notification settings. If a notice seems inappropriate, tap “Report” and the Cannasys Maps team will review it. The club only knows how many members each notice reaches, not who reads it, turns notifications off or reports it.

  • What are “Club notifications” in my favourites?

It is a switch for each club in your favourites and it is on by default when you save the club. While it is on, that club can send you a single short invitation, which we review before it is sent. Until you reply, the club does not know who you are: it only sees “User · saved on …”, with the day you saved it. The invitation reaches you as a notification and in “Invitations” in your account, and you can reply to it for 30 days; after that it expires. When you reply, the club sees the name and date of birth you write and your message, as in a membership request (the club's minimum age also applies), and the conversation continues in “My requests”. If you tap “No, thanks”, the club is not told that you declined. If you tap “Report”, we review the invitation, that club can no longer send you any and its club notifications are turned off (even if you save it again). You can turn the switch off at any time in “Favourites” or by removing the club from your favourites.
